Thongchai Jaidee
Thongchai is regarded as one of Asia’s greatest players, thanks to an unprecedented three Order of Merit crowns and 13 career victories. In 2014, he picked up the Player of the Decade (2004-2013) awarded which is voted by the players and claimed a second victory on European soil at the Nordea Masters in Sweden. Also captained Team Asia to a memorable 10-10 tie with Europe in the inaugural EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM in Malaysia. He also made the cut at the Masters Tournament in his third attempt. In 2016, he won his fourth title in Europe at the 100th Open de France. In the previous season, he was also victorious at the Porsche European Open in Germany. The win including seven top-10 results worldwide helped him to finish in a career high of 28th place on the Official World Golf Ranking. Won the Nordean Masters in Sweden in 2014. In 2013, he finished runner-up at the Volvo World Match Play Championship in Bulgaria and BMW Masters in China. In 2012, he enhanced his global reputation by claiming his first title on European soil by winning the Wales Open. Posted four top-10s on the Asian Tour, with a third place finish at the Iskandar Johor Open in Malaysia being his best. In 2011, he finished second in the Indonesian Masters behind Lee Westwood. In 2010, he won his 13th title at the Johnnie Walker Cambodian Open. Enjoyed an impressive run at the WGC-Accenture Match Play when he qualified for the quarter-finals before being stopped by eventual winner Ian Poulter.
